| The Laby®-GI has been custom engineered and optimized to supply the ME-GI dual fuel propulsion system of MAN Diesel. Years of development have lead to a noncomplex compressor system with a sophisticated control system and lowest demands on crew and maintenance staff. The entire fuel gas system including the Laby®-GI has been subject to numerous HAZOP/HAZID studies carried out by various known certification authorities. Burckhardt Compression's references in the LNG and marine application, the type approval process and the experience in engineering and building reciprocating compressors state the high safety level and the outstanding reliability of the system. |

Design features
- Labyrinth sealing system (contact-free and non-lubricated) on piston and piston rod gland to increase lifetime and reduce wear and therefore maintenance costs
- No pre-heating of the gas or pre-cooling of the compressor is required to provide quick start-ups
- Easy compression of LNG boil-off gas at suction temperatures down to minus 170°C (minus 250F)
- Also available: Flexible solution for fuel gas supply and/or reliquefaction
- Lubricated piston guiding system for precise alignment and long life
- Vertical piston rod guiding arrangement to avoid wear caused by weight forces
