Compressor for Polyethylene Plant in Turkey
In July 2001, Sulzer Burckhardt was awarded the contrat to deliver one hyper compressor, type F8, for a tubular low-density polyethylene plant (based on Stamicarbon clean tubular reactor technique) located in Aliaga, Turkey. The general contractor is Technip France in Lyon. The specifications call for a compressor, capable of handling a mass flow of 59 tons per hour at a dischrage pressure of 2650 bar. The total weight of the reciprocating compressor is 150 metric tons. The order is valued at several million USD.
