Burckhardt Compression appoints new member of the Executive Board
Burckhardt Compression has appointed the 38 year-old Lukas Betschon as the new Head of Design & Manufacturing as the successor of Marcel Pawlicek. Lukas Betschon will take over his new function on Juy 1st, 2011. As mentioned in the media release in the beginning of December Marcel Pawlicek will assume the position of CEO.
Lukas Betschon (39) holds a university degree in mechanical engineering from ETH Zurich and earned an executive diploma from HSG. He gained valuable experience in general management and in different positions in the development, engineering and manufacturing within the mechanical industry.
Since 2008 Lukas Betschon is Managing Director of the company PSA – Parts & Systems AG, a supplier of high quality fine cutting work and complex mechatronical assemblies. Before he headed the development department at Starrag Heckert AG where he was responsible for complex development projects. Lukas Betschon is married and has three children.

As mentioned in the media release on December 2nd, 2010, Marcel Pawlicek will take over the position of CEO on April 1st, 2011. Valentin Vogt will assume the function of Chairman from Hans Hess.
Marcel Pawlicek will head the Design & Manufacturing department ad interim until Lukas Betschon takes up his duties.
