Systems Division EMSR Engineer

  • Report to: Systems Division Senior EMSR Manager
  • Main Tasks:
  • Competent advice and support to Sales in the offer phase and to Contracting in order processing.
  • Efficient processing of the electrical equipment deliverable in the contract together with the required documentation.
  • Compilation of instrumentation and control related documents according to the contract (together with El-CAD designer where required) such as:
    • Instrument list
    • Interface diagram
    • Wiring Diagrams
    • Signal lists
    • Cause and effect list
    • Logic diagram
    • Layout drawings
  • Compilation of the technical specifications for instrumentation and PLC/HMI hardware.
  • Devising cost-effective standards for controls and instrumentation.
  • Ensuring a fault-free function test of the controls.
  • Coordination with BCAG and other BCx instrumentation and control departments.
  • Support the PE during meetings with clients related to instrumentation and control (e.g. kick-off meetings, HAZOP meetings, etc.)
  • Technical support of our customers during the project.
  • Co-ordination and support to CSS, especially during commissioning.
  • Permanent controlling of the delivery and costs of instruments & control part.
  • Evaluation of possible new suppliers together with procurement and quality.
  • Support of BCAG/BCx instrumentation and control department for Chinese projects and localization.
  • Education/ Experience:
  • Master or Bachelor degree in either electrical engineering, systems engineering or similar education
  • At least 3 years’ experience in similar business:
    • Plant Engineering and Construction
    • Chemical / Petrochemical Industry
    • Industrial Gases Industry
    • Refinery Industry
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment and/or related processes would be beneficial
  • Language Skill:
  • Fluent in local Chinese language
  • Very good English knowledge, fluent in spoken and written
  • Special skills:
  • Knowledge in dedicated issues like Ex-Protection, SIL, measuring principles etc.
  • Able to make himself familiar with application-oriented tasks self-employed, incl. study of relevant literature and theoretical studies
