Burckhardt Compression: Andreas Brautsch appointed as new President Systems Division and member of the Executive Management
The Board of Directors of Burckhardt Compression has appointed Andreas Brautsch as new President Systems Division and member of the Executive Management. He will join Burckhardt Compression on October 1st, 2022 to succeed Fabrice Billard, who is CEO since April 1, 2022.
Andreas Brautsch is a German citizen with a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the TH Regensburg, Germany, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Edinburgh university, UK.
Andreas Brautsch brings more than 20 years of experience from leading international industrial companies like Hitachi Energy, ABB, General Electric, Alstom Power and Siemens, for which he has worked in China, USA, Germany, and Switzerland. He has a proven track record of driving innovation, growth and profitability of sizeable global businesses in the energy markets.
Most recently, Andreas Brautsch was Group Vice President and Global Leader of the Switchgear Business at Hitachi Energy, where he was responsible for more than 3’000 employees globally and a business larger than CHF 1 bn.
