Acquittal of two Burckhardt Compression employees appealed by the Office of the Attorney General of Switzerland

As communicated in the ad-hoc announcement on December 13, 2023, the Criminal Chamber of the Federal Criminal Court acquitted two employees of Burckhardt Compression AG of all allegations of exploiting insider knowledge in the purchase of shares for the company’s ordinary employee stock ownership program.

The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) has filed an appeal dated August 26, 2024, against the acquittal. The appeal proceedings are conducted by the Higher Appeals Chamber of the Federal Criminal Court. Burckhardt Compression AG takes note of the OAG’s appeal and continues to view its employees as having acted correctly.
